ACTS Retirement Services, Inc. (“ARS”) (parent organization of ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, Inc., (“Acts”)) and Willow Valley Communities (“WVC”) have mutually and amicably agreed to no longer proceed with a Strategic Alliance, which was established in May of 2022. The Strategic Alliance brought together two of the nation’s largest nonprofit senior living organizations, in a unique structure designed to leverage best practices, expertise and scale to enhance their ability to serve seniors and advance their shared missions.
While ARS and WVC have shared many successes and built strong organizational relationships, both agree that it is most important to focus on growth and success as independent organizations. As such, ARS and WVC have mutually and amicably agreed to end the Strategic Alliance on or before December 31, 2024. Leadership from both organizations will be working together to ensure a smooth transition.
“The Acts organization and Willow Valley Communities came together to forge a remarkable relationship between two of the nation’s most successful and respected senior living providers. The Strategic Alliance was successful in so many ways leveraging the best of both organizations," said Acts CEO Gerald T. Grant. “We are proud of all that has been accomplished and will continue to work together in areas of mutual interest. We are excited about the future for both organizations.”
Acts is headquartered in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, and has been serving seniors since 1972. Acts is amongst the nation’s largest nonprofit senior living organizations with 28 continuing care retirement communities in 9 states serving approximately 11,000 residents and employing approximately 8,000 team members.
