Edgewater at Boca Pointe partnered with Papanicolaou Corps For Cancer to host a fundraising fashion show in February. The Paps Corp Fashion Show featured nine models who showcased chic and casual clothing from Evelyn & Arthur.
The models, including Edgewater at Boca Pointe residents Shelia Bellovin and Karol Posner, volunteered to be part of the fashion show to support cancer research.
“I was happy to be a model; it was a lot of fun,” said Shelia Bellovin, who moved to Edgewater in October 2022. “Living at Edgewater, there’s so much to do and the people are so friendly.”
When she’s not modeling, Shelia is playing cards, bingo and choosing her next adventure from a full calendar of trips and activities.
“It’s easy to stay busy, and I’m just as active if not more as when I was living at Boca Pointe,” she added. “At Boca Pointe, I used to play tennis and golf; now my friends come to play cards here, and I enjoy the many trips.”
Karol Posner, who moved to Edgewater in December 2019, said, “I never thought I’d be modeling when I moved in, but it’s fun. Everyone has been so nice and we’re having a good time for a great cause.”
About 158 attendees visited Edgewater for Paps Corp and its bright pink, Barbie themed fashion event. Funds raised support Papanicolaou Corps For Cancer, a volunteer organization that supports the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
