We have lived in a protective bubble at BC and been kept safe. But around us, as of the end of July, more than 140,000 Americans have died from COVID-19. Over four million have been sickened, some serious enough to be hospitalized and on life support. The virus is not nearly under control across the country. This is the world we face now.
