Mascots Bring Team Spirit to
Southeast OlympiActs 2019
Our first OlympiActs of 2019 kicked off in
Vero Beach, Florida. This year each Southeast community had a team mascot; the spirited bunch included a wolf, panther, iguana, sharks and bulls. Special thanks to the athletes of Westminster Village and Azalea Trace who traveled 12
hours to join in the festivities. Great job to all our athletes, volunteers, and much appreciation for the wonderful hospitality of our host community, Indian River Estates.
Costumes, Bands & Beads: Mardi Gras in Action!
Westminster Village knows how to celebrate Mardi Gras with its traditional Krewe of the Westies. Spanish Fort, Alabama is our closest community to the French Quarter - only a 2- hour drive to New Orleans.
Joy Cross and Nancy Hartley enjoy the Mardi Gras spirit at Westminster Village.
ABOVE: Duane Webster, 97, of St. Andrews Estates wins a gold medal in the ping pong event.
